"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully," Romans 12:6-8

Baby Haley

I am blessed. I am so very, very blessed. Photography has brought so many amazing people into my life, each who have taught me something new. I don’t think its any secret that I LOVE newborns! Their smell, their wrinkly little toes, their puckered lips, and even their cries---they all just touch my heart in ways that no one else can. God’s creation is amazing; every person is made unique, made special and are loved so deeply by Him. New life reminds me of that, and its powerful. Today I met little Haley for the first time. Her parents and I took maternity pictures back in December, and when Kim asked if I would take Haley’s newborn pictures--- I was over the moon. This morning, Haley surpassed all my expectations and excitement. She was awake and alert throughout the whole session, and it was so very special to see Kim interact with her daughter. Haley, welcome to the world--- you are someone very special--- may your life be full of blessings.

Baby Josephine

I have been loving all the newborn shoots lately, and the many announcements of newborns to come! It’s a good thing our little one is coming in August, or this would not be at all helping the severe case of “baby fever” I had over the last few months. A few weeks ago, the world was blessed by the addition of Baby Josephine. Adam and Ashlie are friends of my parents, and when my mom asked if I would take pictures of their little one--- I was so excited! When I walked in the door to the mix of Christian, easy listening and I think quite possibly some 70’s music that was playing in the background, I knew this family had to be special. The love that filled their home and surrounded little Josephine was so much fun to witness and a blessing to capture through photography. Thank you for welcoming me into your home, you have a wonderful family and I pray God fills this new chapter of your life with many blessings.

Baby T newborn session

First of all, Happy 2012. Today I was privilege to start the new year with a photo session of new life. Baby T entered the world last week and she is precious. Her big sister is welcoming her with lots of kisses and open arms ready to hold her. This family is so full of love. Baby T and her big sister are treasured, nurtured, cared for and loved. I am so blessed to have worked with this family in the past and know that this will not be the last time you see them featured on here. Miller family, thank you for allowing me the privilege of capturing special times in your lives. You are a great family and I pray that your 2012 is filled with love, laughter, memories and blessings. Enjoy the preview from our time today.

2011 in the Harvey’s life…

This year has been filled---- filled with ups and downs, wins and losses--- but what I have learned, is that ALL of it is good. God is good. Throughout this year there has been a theme. Learning to trust, to trust whole heartedly, the God who has never let me down. Relinquishing control has always been a struggle of mine. I have always wanted to have a plan, wanted things to follow that plan, and fought tooth and nail when they didn’t. This year was so exception. However, this year God didn’t tolerate that. He pushed me, challenged me, encouraged me and in the end when I look back, blessed me more that I could have ever imagined. This year could easily have been described as a tug-of-war, which is exactly as it should be. As a person living for something bigger, there is a great struggle to be kinder, more self-less, forgiving and loving. The minute you feel as though “you have it”, as though your “gaining”---- you loose, you end up knee deep in the mud pit. So for my next year, through the ups and downs, wins and losses--- I will try my  hardest to stay humble, and remember that everything is of Him. Cause that is what really matters.

Here is a video of our year--- we are so blessed! Thanks for watching.

Miller Maternity Post

This Sunday I was blessed to spend time with the Miller family once again. Let me tell you, they are an amazing family. Little “Z” is soon to be a big sister and it was so special to capture these moments. She already loves her baby sister and I have no doubt will help her mom and dad. “Z” has grown up so much since the last time I saw her six months ago. However her personality is just as cute as the first time I met her. I cannot wait to meet the new addition to this sweet family. There is so much love, compassion and encouragement that grows in their home, that I know their children will grow up to be amazing individuals. “A” is absolutely a beautiful mom-to-be, full of peace and joy. She is an great mom who loves her children well. Here are some pictures from our time together on Sunday morning.

Englehardt Maternity Session---

Today I was blessed to meet a new couple. The Englehardts. They will be welcoming Haley Jane in approximately a month. Kim is just glowing--- a very beautiful, calm and peaceful mom-to-be. It was very fun to spend time with this couple today and capture this special time in their lives. We spend our time at this amazingly beautiful ranch in Corning. Surrounded by olives, oaks, and the perfect backdrop of a creek bed. Simply amazing. I love being out in God’s creation, and meeting his people--- hearing their stories, witnessing special times in their lives. I feel very blessed by photography. Only hope that my photography blesses others return. Happy Saturday, thank you Englehardts.
