My husband and I escaped to Ireland for nine days. It was amazing, perfect, beautiful--- needed. This year has been a busy one, full of lots of ups and a few downs. With almost one year of marriage under our belt, we fled the country for some time together. Our first year of marriage was filled with so much--- matt in his second year of teaching, coached two sports (back-to-back), and finished up BTSA, while I started a business, finished and graduated from nursing school, passed my boards, applied for jobs, accomplished many tasks around the home, and got a job. When I type it all out, it sounds so simplistic, however at times it felt so chaotic. Although, through all the chaos we grew together, we stole a minute here or there, got creative with our dates, and really learned what it meant to be man and wife. I am so unbelievable blessed to have Matt as my husband.
Ireland was beautiful! The countryside was greener than I expected, the city was full of so much character and history--- simply stunning. It was a photographers dream, made me wish I had some of my wonderful clients there with me. The cobblestone streets, front doors with character, amazing brick buildings--- so perfect that as I type I realize these descriptions just don’t do it justice. So here are some pictures for you to view instead!
It feels so good to be back, typing to you all--- and I can’t wait to be working with some of you very soon.
Our view from above
(little did we know that those clouds were about to drench us from head to toe as we walked to our hotel.)
River that runs through Dublin
Quaint little pubs
Trinity College--- I image a portrait session on this campus
Wicklow Mountains--- loved the countryside
Matt was willing to be my subject (sometimes)
Even their train stations are beautiful!
Doors of all sorts of colors--- and the handles in the middle?!?!
Four Liars Clock Tower--- each clock face is a few minutes different
The most amazing breakfast--- blueberry scone with real blueberries and a latte--- perfect!
So the American’s don’t get run over by looking the wrong direction
Everything was full of detail--- down to the hinges on the doors!
Phoenix Park--- breath taking!
Our eight hour flight back--- need I say more?
“Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.” Genesis 9:3
