Christmas

Christmas seems to be the holiday that involves the most family tradition. This year was a little different, amazing, but different. I would say it was a building year. The Harvey Family Christmas Eve was changed, the Wollbrincks spent Christmas in Chico, and I woke up next to my husband. It was a great feeling to be starting new traditions, things that will last and grow for years to come. I was so blessed to spend this holiday with both my family and my husbands family. Our celebration of Christ Birth began with church and a great Christmas eve dinner at the Harvey's home. Christmas morning, my parents joined us in our apartment where we read the Christmas Story from Luke 2, proceeded to open stockings and exchange gifts. The day only got better as we headed to the Harvey's for a day full of games, laughs, "pursuit of happyness" and a great dinner of soup and salad. Although it did not have that same "feel" of our traditional Christmas, it felt even better. Surrounded by family, engulfed in love, saved by grace!

Gingerbread Houses

Tonight, there was a very important, very intense gathering for the purpose of gingerbread house making! Strategies were secretly discussed, utensils were horded, and messes were made.. It was a very fun evening spent with friends, talking about life, laughing and enjoying this special time of year. Thank you friends for a great night!

Pinning

On Thursday December 16th, I was pinned as a graduate of Nursing School. It has been a long road to this point in life. Many, many, many classes, late nights spent studying, early mornings spent praying, and days filled with stress. However by the grace of God, I am now preparing for my NCLEX and finished with school. Although I do not know what God has in store for my future, I know that my past has been filled with amazingly supportive family and friends. I am so thankful for the support, encouragement and prayers that were showered upon me the past two years of nursing school. I am blessed

Ending one of lifes chapters..

Today I ended one chapter in life... Today was my last day in a classroom as a Butte College Nursing Student. As I look back over the past two years, it can't help but to feel so blessed for all that happened. All the new people I met, the experiences the Lord granted, and the knowledge I acquired. As I look to an unknown future, I am filled with excitement, hope and anticipation for the plan the Lord has. What better way to celebrate the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another by taking pictures of two of the cutest little boys around. Today was a day filled with true Christmas Cheer.. enjoy!
