"We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully," Romans 12:6-8

One Amazing Aggie....

Yesterday we ventured to Stockton California to cheer the UC Davis field hockey team on as they faced UOP. However... the primary reason I made the drive was because my sister is on the team. In my opinion she is not only on the team, but the star of the team (yes, I admit to being partially bias). We witnessed an amazing game for the Aggies as a whole, but I was unbelievably proud of my sister and her two goals... so proud in fact I decided to share with you clips of the article posted today about the game. It has been so fun to see my sister act as captain and leader on the field. She has so much respect for herself and her teammates, and I could not be more proud of her. All her hard work, determination, commitment and passion was evident throughout the whole game yesterday. Great job Aggies, AMAZING job Casey!

"Casey Wollbrinck scored two goals for the UC Davis field hockey team, helping the Aggies advance into overtime where they eventually took a 4-3 win after penalty strokes vs. Pacific Saturday, at Brookside Field in Stockton, Calif.  The game marked the first time in program history that an Aggie contest was decided by penalty strokes... UC Davis managed to bounce back at the 27:30 mark, scoring on a penalty corner, with Casey Wollbrinck finding the bottom right of the cage.  Despite am 8-6 advantage in shots for the Aggies, they took a 2-1 defecit into the intermission.... Late in the second half, Pacific took back the lead, using a Jenna Vivian goal to go up 3-2 in the 61st minute.  UC Davis didn't waste anytime providing another equalizer, as Casey Wollbrinck tallied her second goal of the game in the 62nd minute.... UC Davis will begin competition in the NorPac tournament next week on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in Davidson, N.C." UCDavis Womens Field Hockey Website

Ross and Nicole Preview

What a blessing it was to be apart of Ross and Nicole's story tonight. They are such a special couple and I felt so honored to take their engagement photos. What beautiful people they both are, inside and out. The love they have for one another was continually evident. I had so much fun getting to know them and capturing their love for one another through photography. Congratulations Ross and Nicole, I pray you have a life filled with continually growing love!

"Two people are better than one, because they can reap more benefit from their labor. For if they fall, one will help his companion up, but pity the person who falls down and has no one to help him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together, they can keep each other warm, but how can one person keep warm by himself? Although an assailant may overpower one person, two can withstand him. Moreover, a three-stranded cord is not easily broken." -Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Winter Is Upon Us

With our first cold weather and rainy days upon us, it is time to take out the blankets, hats and jackets.. however nothing warms a heart more than the pure face of a little one. With the expanding of winter wardrobe, we had to capture the moments with Jonathan.

Costumes and Pumpkins

Although Halloween is not one of my most favorite holidays, I must say seeing all the little kids dressed up and excited is pretty fun. This year my nephews have one of the cutest costumes around. Today we decided to capture the attire.. and I am in love with the results... but not nearly as much as I am in love with my nephews!!

Blessed

"Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare." Psalm 40:5  This weekend being surrounded by family and friends, I can not help but to be in awe of the Lord. I am so utterly grateful for all the wonderful things He has put in my life. Between my amazing husband, incredible sets of parents, family and friends who lift me up, love me, guide me and support me... I can not help but to feel overwhelmingly blessed. Looking at the world, it is so clear how amazing our God is. His design is beautiful, His plan is grand, and His people are wonderful. Although life is at a transitioning point, which can make things a little uneasy feeling at times, looking at God's creation, I know His plan for my life will be better than anything I try to come up with. My first twenty-five years have been filled with inspiring moments, opportunities, places and people... I am very excited to be apart of the twenty-five more He has in store.

Of course no post is complete without pictures... Here are some pictures I captured this summer of God's beautiful creation in Fall River, Ca.

I RUN TO BE...

STRONG!!! strong in the Lord, strong in health and strong in friendship. This weekend I ran the Nike Woman's Half Marathon in the time of 1:58:06. Although I am so proud of meeting my goal I set in the beginning.. this run turned into something more. The Lord has taught me to release my stress and anxiety (which nursing school can produce) through the ritual of lacing my shoes, turning on my music and pounding the pavement. What started as training with a friend turned into something much more. We did not only keep each other accountable to run two days a week at the crack of dawn, but accountable in life. Kari is a friend I know will keep me "running" on a path pointed toward things of the Lord, comforts me when I am sad, encourages me when I'm running low... our tuesday and friday runs were a great release during my week. I praise the Lord for everything He used this run for. I RUN TO BE STRONG!

Carson Plays Soccer

It is amazing how fast this little man is growing. He is now a little soccer star, or maybe just a little kicker.. but non-the-less it is so fun to see him running around having fun. Here are some pictures from his soccer time on Saturday morning. Enjoy!
